Legendary Lagos: Street Art Festival Transforms City's Landscape
Lagos holds its first Street Art Festival, transforming city streets into vibrant displays by artists from Nigeria and abroad. The festival aims to make art accessible and inspire change. Artists like Andrey Adno and HK Locks focus on themes of energy, unity, and migration within the city's dynamic landscape.
Lagos is turning its streets into a sprawling canvas with its inaugural Street Art Festival, 'Legendary Lagos: City of Dreams.'
The event features twelve artists, nine hailing from Nigeria and three international, as they paint large murals throughout the city aiming to democratize art and spark social change. 'Art should not be limited to galleries and museums,' said Osa Seven, one of the organizers.
Lithuanian artist Andrey Adno captures the city's energetic pace while local artist HK Locks explores unity and migration, depicting Lagos as a hub for dream chasers, a place where collaboration and ambition flourish.
