The Usri Waterfall in Giridih district, Jharkhand, is on track to become a prominent eco-tourism site. On Saturday, State Tourism Minister Sudivya Kumar laid the foundation for this ambitious project aimed at transforming the location into a key tourist hub.

Kumar, speaking to PTI, emphasized the commitment of the Hemant Soren-led government to bolster tourism as part of its development agenda. He highlighted that unlike the previous BJP administration, which he claimed progressed at a slow pace, the current government has expedited projects within a short timeframe.

The Giridih Divisional Forest Officer, Manish Tiwari, disclosed that an initial investment of Rs 10 crore has been allocated for the waterfall's transformation. Planned developments in the first phase include the construction of a cottage and a parking facility, setting the stage for a significant upgrade in the next year.
