At the 10th Serendipity Arts Festival, Samar Jodha presents "Naming Those Consigned to Namelessness", highlighting the anonymity of over 3,500 construction workers at Dubai's Burj Khalifa. Jodha's work emphasizes the quest for identity among those marginalized, where names often fade into obscurity.
In a curated exhibit titled "Otherland", Jodha and fellow photographers Naveen Kishore, Ram Rahman, and Ritesh Uttamchandani explore themes of identity, otherness, and socio-political challenges. Through poignant images, the show underscores the invisible labor shaping monumental feats like the Burj Khalifa.
The festival, celebrating a decade of multi-disciplinary arts, offers diverse perspectives via photographs, videos, and texts that delve into human dignity, resilience, and solidarity amidst various societal upheavals. It runs until December 21, showcasing the interplay between personal and collective stories in the art world.
