In a recent turn of events, legendary Spanish singer Julio Iglesias has publicly denied accusations of abuse, calling them false in a Thursday night social media post. The allegations involve claims of human trafficking for forced labor, sexual abuse, and violations of workers' rights.

The prosecutor's office of Spain's High Court has initiated preliminary proceedings. Women's Link Worldwide, a prominent rights group, filed the complaint on January 5 on behalf of two women, Rebeca and Laura. These young Latin American women reportedly worked for Iglesias in 2021 under challenging conditions in the Dominican Republic and Bahamas.

Attempts to contact Iglesias' representatives have been unsuccessful, while Sony Music, his record label, has refrained from commenting on the ongoing legal matter. The case remains under secrecy rules, with further developments awaited.
