Two Indian Army soldiers lost their lives on Saturday in an encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district, officials confirmed. Ongoing operations are being conducted in the area.
The encounter in the Kokernag area led to the injury and subsequent death of two soldiers from a joint operation involving the Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police, and CRPF, based on specific intelligence inputs.
In a related incident, security forces engaged terrorists in a firefight in Ahlan Gagarmandu earlier on the same day. Simultaneously, Jammu and Kashmir Police issued sketches of four wanted terrorists and announced a Rs 5 lakh reward for their capture. This follows recent terror attacks in Kathua, Doda, and Udhampur.
