Defence experts urge India and Pakistan to engage in high-level military talks to address recent ceasefire violations along their border. Amid escalating tensions at the India-Pakistan border, Defence expert DS Dhillon has called for immediate talks at the Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) level. He emphasized the necessity of addressing ceasefire violations to ensure enduring peace, as both countries aim to improve communication and prevent further escalations.

Leading the DGMO-level discussions, Defence Expert Sanjeev Srivastava labeled the upcoming meeting as crucial. He pointed out that the focus would be on making the current understanding between India and Pakistan permanent, aiming to prevent Pakistan from taking any further provocative actions.

Recent discussions initiated by Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai, the Director General Military Operations, reportedly succeeded in a temporary cessation of hostilities. However, within hours, Pakistan allegedly breached the agreement, prompting a robust response from India. The urgency and complexity of the situation are apparent as both nations prepare for subsequent dialogues to stabilize the border situation.
