Tuesday saw a tentative start for Wall Street's primary indexes as investors navigated a fresh batch of quarterly earnings from significant companies. Market responses appeared restrained amid cautious interpretations of recent financial disclosures.
As of 09:30 a.m., the Dow Jones Industrial Average recorded a modest rise, moving up 13.17 points, or 0.03%, marking a new level of 46,719.75. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 registered a 2.85-point gain, equivalent to a 0.04% increase, reaching 6,737.98.
The Nasdaq Composite, however, faced a slight decline, losing 9.71 points or 0.04%, settling at 22,980.83. This mixed performance reflects investor indecision amid ongoing earnings evaluations.
