Gujarat's Morbi Ceramic cluster stands tall as a global leader in the ceramics industry. Located in the Kutch and Saurashtra region, it is home to the world's second-largest ceramic production hub, with over 800 export-focused units. The state government confirms its status as a global powerhouse.

The upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference aims to further enhance the Morbi cluster's potential and underscore the entrepreneural spirit of the local industry. The prestigious event is poised to attract investment and showcase the rich local talent pooled within the region, as Gujarat embarks on its ambitious journey titled 'Viksit Bharat@2047'.

India's position as the sixth-largest ceramic products exporter is significantly bolstered by the Morbi cluster. The recent India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement, signed on July 24, 2025, is a testament to its success, securing zero-duty access for Indian ceramics. Morbi contributes 65% of the Indian ceramic exports to the UK, addressing soaring UK demand for premium materials.

The sector thrives on urbanization, government housing schemes, and the Swach Bharat Mission. Morbi's ceramic and sanitary ware industry, producing tiles and accessories, employs about 3.5 lakh people directly and provides jobs to nearly 10 lakh indirectly. It has also fostered employment in ancillary sectors like logistics and packaging.

Local and international markets have increasingly embraced the 'Made in Morbi' brand, a vision embarked upon by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat, further amplified through the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit initiated in 2003.
