Passengers at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad are grappling with persistent flight delays and cancellations by IndiGo, India's leading airline. One affected traveler, Khuman Singh, revealed that his journey faced a 12-hour delay, highlighting inadequate responses from the airline's helpline despite repeated contacts over two days.

Singh recounted how, after a seamless flight to Chennai, his return trip became fraught with inconvenience when notified that his flight, originally scheduled for 2 AM on December 9, was pushed to 9 PM. This delay forced him into an all-day wait at the airport. He criticized IndiGo's customer service for failing to provide satisfactory answers.

Reacting to these disruptions, the Ministry of Civil Aviation has assigned senior officials to conduct immediate inspections at key Indian airports, including Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. The assessments began following a directive for thorough reviews of passenger complaints and airline operations, resulting in show cause notices to IndiGo's top executives.
