Venezuelan Oil Tanker Sanctioned and Docked in Curacao

A Vietnam-flagged tanker carrying Venezuelan oil under sanctions has arrived in Curacao's Bullen Bay terminal as part of a 50-million-barrel supply deal. The vessel's charter remains unclear, though Vitol and Trafigura have recently obtained U.S. licenses to facilitate the first sales of this agreement.

A Vietnam-flagged tanker carrying Venezuelan oil, under sanctions, has arrived at Curacao's Bullen Bay terminal. This development was reported by Tankertrackers.com on Friday.

Earlier in the week, Curacao authorities announced the vessel carrying crude oil was part of a substantial 50-million-barrel supply agreement negotiated between Caracas and Washington, destined for the Caribbean island.

The entity chartering the tanker remains undisclosed. However, last week, trading houses Vitol and Trafigura received U.S. licenses to conduct the initial sales under the deal.
