BJP Eyes Victory in West Bengal Amid High Voter Turnout

BJP's Bihar president, Sanjay Saraogi, anticipates a win in West Bengal's Assembly elections, citing public anger against Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee as evident from the high voter turnout. With the second phase of polling upcoming, BJP hopes PM Modi will bring change. TMC remains confident of securing seats.

Bharatiya Janata Party Bihar President Sanjay Saraogi expressed confidence in the BJP's victory in the West Bengal Assembly elections, attributing this potential success to a high voter turnout in the first phase of polling. Saraogi highlighted visible public anger against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and noted a growing disillusionment with the Trinamool Congress.

Saraogi emphasized, "The people of Bengal have decided. The record-breaking voter participation in the first phase reflects widespread discontent with TMC and Mamata Banerjee. The electorate is rallying behind Prime Minister Narendra Modi for change. The BJP is poised to form a government with a full majority," he asserted. BJP leader Ramkripal Yadav echoed these sentiments, stating that the people desire change and no longer trust the TMC.

Conversely, TMC State General Secretary Tanmay Ghosh dismissed the BJP's claims, asserting, "No outsider, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, will be in West Bengal by the morning of May 4." Ghosh remains confident of TMC's ability to secure 230-250 seats, citing strong public support for Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee.
