Today, Delhi witnessed a significant stride toward sustainable transportation as Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa and Transport Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh flagged off Green SM's electric taxi service from the Delhi Secretariat. The eco-friendly initiative marks the city's commitment to reducing pollution with a fleet wholly manufactured in India.

Minister Sirsa highlighted the taxis' cutting-edge features, including multiple cameras for enhanced safety and an all-women driver workforce, reinforcing both security and empowerment. By starting with 1,000 vehicles and aiming to reach 10,000 within a year, Delhi is bolstering its e-infrastructure, thereby advancing its clean mobility goals.

On the front of alternative fuels, Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri introduced E85 fuel, another step toward diversifying India's energy sources. Celebrated on World Environment Day, this launch signifies the nation's meaningful progress in adopting sustainable transportation, supported by collaboration across industry sectors.
