The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a stringent warning to students about false claims circulating on social media regarding a purported leak or sale of the NEET (UG) 2026 re-examination question paper. The NTA labeled these rumors as "false, fraudulent, and intended to mislead," accusing organized cheating rackets of exploiting student anxiety to extort money through scams.

In a proactive stance, the NTA is taking steps to file a formal complaint with law enforcement and cyber-crime authorities. The agency is actively identifying and reporting the channels disseminating such fraudulent content for immediate action and takedown. The NTA admonished individuals against engaging with or paying any entity claiming to provide advance access to exam papers.

The agency urged candidates and their parents to disregard rumors and concentrate on official communications from the NTA's verified channels. The NEET-UG 2026 exam has been rescheduled for June 21, amidst ongoing investigations by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into alleged paper leaks, which have led to multiple arrests and sparked widespread student protests.
