Government Tackles PHC Doctors' Demands in Andhra Pradesh

The Andhra Pradesh government pledges to address the demands of Primary Health Centre (PHC) doctors who have ceased outpatient duties over issues like lack of promotions and allowances. Health Minister Satyakumar Yadav aims to discuss these demands with the Chief Minister, ensuring fair in-service quotas and resolving service-related grievances.

In Andhra Pradesh, the government is actively engaging with dissatisfied Primary Health Centre (PHC) doctors to resolve their pressing demands.

The PHC doctors, under the Andhra Pradesh Primary Health Centre Doctors Association (APPHCDA), halted outpatient services on October 3, voicing grievances over lack of promotions, allowances, and service-related issues.

Health Minister Satyakumar Yadav assured that these concerns, including calls for a consistent 15 percent in-service quota for postgraduate medical courses, will be duly addressed after consultation with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
