Uttar Pradesh is making waves in the healthcare sector as Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the 'UP Health Tech Conclave'. With a population of 250 million, the state stands as the largest consumer market for healthcare, catering to not just its own people, but also neighboring states and countries like Nepal.
Since the BJP's governance commenced in 2017, the state has seen notable transformations. From 40 medical colleges in 2017 to the current 81, along with two AIIMS and over 100 district hospitals, UP's healthcare infrastructure is expanding rapidly. The Chief Minister credits the collaboration with the Centre for this progress.
Significant advancements under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana have made healthcare more accessible. The issuance of 5.5 crore golden cards in UP under this scheme underscores the commitment to public health, helping reduce mortality rates and align with national standards.
