The Ministry of External Affairs has briefed both permanent and non-permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, including China's Ambassador to India, Xu Feihong, following India's targeted military operation, named Sindoor. This operation aimed to dismantle terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir as a swift retaliation to the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22.

The Indian Armed Forces executed Operation Sindoor on Wednesday, taking out nine terror hideouts within Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Wing Commander Vyomika Singh highlighted that these locations were carefully chosen to prevent harm to civilians and their properties. She stressed that the strike was aimed at delivering justice to the victims and families of the Pahalgam attack.

During a detailed press briefing, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi showcased videos of the obliterated terror camps, including those in Muridke—a training site associated with the 2008 Mumbai attacks perpetrators, David Headley and Ajmal Kasab. The Indian Army targeting list included locations such as Sarjal camp in Sialkot and Markaz Ahle Hadith. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri emphasized the attack on Pahalgam aimed to disrupt Kashmir's return to normalcy, marked by horrific acts intended to traumatize families.
