Singapore has voiced serious concerns over the intensifying military standoff between India and Pakistan, following a brutal terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on April 22, 2025. The Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged both nations to de-escalate tensions through diplomatic channels to ensure civilian safety.

The situation escalated as Pakistan launched coordinated drone and missile strikes along India's western frontier on Thursday night, targeting areas in Jammu and Kashmir as well as Rajasthan. Indian defense officials reported that many of these attacks were neutralized by India's air defense systems, notably the S-400 missile defense system, which limited the damage sustained.

In Poonch, Pakistani shelling damaged a local house and a Hanuman Temple, drawing local condemnation. A resident expressed gratitude to the Indian Armed Forces for their defensive efforts, reinforcing the urgent calls for both nations to seek diplomatic solutions to prevent further escalation.
