In light of Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney's official visit to India, the discourse has prominently featured the presence of 400,000 Indian students in Canada. This number, revealed by Ministry of External Affairs Secretary (East) P Kumaran, underscores a significant demographic trend surpassing those in the US and the UK.
During a special briefing, Kumaran emphasized the proactive role of Indian consulates and High Commissions. They remain in close collaboration with Canadian security agencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of Indian students navigating the challenges within Canada.
