In a move highlighting escalating tensions, the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has formally appealed to the International Criminal Court (ICC) and other global authorities. Iran has submitted 16 official letters demanding international condemnation of the 'unprovoked war of aggression' purportedly launched by the United States and Israel, as reported by Iranian state media, Press TV.

Razieh Alishvandi, Deputy IRCS Head for International and Human Rights Affairs, detailed Iran's diplomatic initiatives, emphasizing active engagement with international organizations to denounce the strikes initiated last month. Alishvandi announced that five joint statements have been issued in collaboration with the Iranian National Committee on Humanitarian Law.

According to the updates provided by Press TV, these statements outline specific human rights violations, such as reported assaults on medical centers and civilian locations, including IRCS ambulances and Frigate IRIS Dena. The latest wave of aggression is described as starting on February 28.

Tensions have soared following these incidents, coming approximately eight months after earlier attacks. In retaliation, Tehran has carried out 'extensive attacks' targeting sites within Israeli-occupied areas and US military positions using missiles and drones.

IRCS Head Pir-Hossein Kolivand revealed the conflict's humanitarian consequences, with over 81,000 civilian structures affected, warning of a severe breach of international humanitarian law and the Geneva Convention. The destruction includes homes, commercial spaces, and essential infrastructure across Iran, profoundly impacting civilian life.

Press TV reports that the Iranian government continues to log these events as part of an intensified legal strategy to hold the United States and Israel accountable on the world stage, stressing the importance of safeguarding civilian and humanitarian sites.
