Swedish PM welcomes Turkey's approval of Sweden's NATO membership bid

Sweden's prime minister on Thursday welcomed Turkey's approval of the Nordic country's NATO application, after President Tayyip Erdogan signed off on the parliament's ratification of the bid.

"Welcome Turkiye’s approval of the ratification of Sweden’s NATO accession. With this, a key milestone has been reached in Sweden's path towards NATO membership," Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson said on social media X.
