Man Climbs Tower Demanding Meeting with Punjab Chief Minister

In a dramatic turn of events, a man identified as Vikram ascended a 125-ft-high mobile tower in Chandigarh on Tuesday, demanding a personal meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to resolve his land dispute.
Chandigarh Deputy Superintendent of Police Gurmukh Singh reported that around 8:30 am, authorities were informed of the incident. Promptly, a fire brigade and an ambulance were dispatched to the location to manage the situation.
Vikram, hailing from Haryana’s Jind, claimed that his complaints over a land dispute in Punjab's Mansa district had not been addressed, prompting his protest. Despite repeated pleas from the police to descend, Vikram remained adamant on his demand. The standoff lasted five hours until DSP Singh assured him of action. Eventually, Vikram descended around 1:30 pm and was taken for a medical examination.
