Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday directed officials to implement the 'full spectrum of counter-terror capabilities' in Jammu and Kashmir. This directive followed a series of terror attacks that included an assault on a bus carrying pilgrims.

The high-level meeting saw the attendance of National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and other key officials. Modi also consulted with Home Minister Amit Shah on security deployments and counter-terror operations. According to sources, Modi further communicated with Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to assess the local administration's efforts.

Over the past four days, multiple terror incidents struck Reasi, Kathua, and Doda districts, resulting in nine pilgrim deaths and injuring numerous others. A significant incident involved a bus of pilgrims being attacked en route to Mata Vaishno Devi, leading to several fatalities and injuries.
