Issues surrounding the IAS probationer Puja Khedkar have triggered serious concerns about the integrity of the UPSC recruitment process, Congress said Friday. The party demanded a high-level committee to investigate numerous alleged malpractices in the system.
The UPSC has registered a police case against Khedkar for fraudulently availing attempts in the civil services examination by faking her identity. Additionally, a show cause notice was issued for the cancellation of her candidature in the 2022 exam and future debarment.
Congress' media and publicity department head, Pawan Khera, asserted that Khedkar's selection with forged documents raises doubts about the effectiveness of the UPSC's recruitment procedures.
