Karnataka CM Skips Crucial Cabinet Meeting
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah did not attend a Cabinet meeting on Thursday, which was set to discuss a show-cause notice issued by Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot. The notice pertained to an alleged scam involving the Mysuru Urban Development Authority. Home Minister G Parameshwara indicated that ministers requested Siddaramaiah to stay away from the meeting.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday was notably absent from a Cabinet meeting that took up the issue of a 'show-cause notice' from Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, questioning if a prosecution sanction should be granted over the alleged Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) site allotment scam.
Home Minister G Parameshwara disclosed that Siddaramaiah had authorized Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar to lead the meeting in his place.
Parameshwara further mentioned that due to the subject of the notice being discussed, ministers advised Siddaramaiah not to attend this particular Cabinet session.
