Driver Arrested After Crashing Van Into Government Buildings in Dublin

Authorities in Dublin arrested a driver early Friday morning after he crashed his van into gates surrounding important government buildings.
The incidents occurred around 2 am, causing considerable damage but no injuries. Detective investigations have excluded terrorism as a motive.
The suspect, in his 40s, began by ramming the fence at President Michael Higgins' residence, didn't enter the grounds, then drove about 3 miles to central Dublin, crashing into gates outside government offices including those of the Prime Minister and Attorney General.
