Tragic End: Woman's Self-Immolation Near CM's Residence Turns Fatal

Anjali Jatav, who immolated herself near UP CM's residence due to alleged torture by husband and in-laws, died during treatment at KGMU. Anjali Jatav, a woman who suffered severe burns after a self-immolation attempt near Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's residence, succumbed to her injuries at King George's Medical University (KGMU).

Jatav, who accused her husband and in-laws of physical and mental torture, had set herself on fire on August 6. Despite being admitted with third-degree burns, she couldn't survive multiple organ dysfunction syndrome and septic shock.

Law enforcement has arrested Jatav's lawyer for allegedly inciting the act, along with her husband and his brother on charges of harassment. This tragic case has intensified focus on domestic abuse and its dire consequences.
