Guest Teachers Demand Regularization and Better Pay in Bhopal Protest
A significant number of guest teachers held a protest in Bhopal, demanding regularization of their services and increased pay. The demonstration lasted for six hours, with around 8,000 participants. A large number of guest teachers staged a protest in Bhopal on Tuesday, demanding regularization of service and better pay.
The protest lasted for six hours, with organizers claiming about 8,000 guest teachers participated.
Leader of opposition in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly Umang Singhar of the Congress also reached out to the protesters and accused the BJP government of not keeping promises made to them.
The guest teachers had announced a protest march to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav's official residence, but they were stopped by police at Ambedkar Park.
The teachers demanded 12-month appointments and regularization based on their service rendered.
Speaking to reporters, Singhar alleged the ruling BJP took votes by making false assurances to guest teachers.
He said it was unfortunate that no government representative was ready to meet them.
