Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has firmly declined to travel to Washington for discussions at the White House if President Donald Trump's agenda includes relocating Palestinians from Gaza, as revealed by two Egyptian security sources.

During a phone conversation on February 1, President Trump invited Sisi to visit the White House, but no date has been set, according to an unnamed U.S. official. The Egyptian presidency has not commented on the matter.

Trump's plan has caused outrage across the Arab world, proposing the displacement of over 2 million Palestinians from Gaza. It suggests transforming Gaza into the 'Riviera of the Middle East' under U.S. administration while urging Egypt and Jordan to accommodate the displaced Palestinians. The plan was reportedly discussed during a recent meeting between Trump and Jordan's King Abdullah, during which the King seemed uneasy.
