Puducherry's Legislative Budget Session Kicks Off

The budget session of the Puducherry Legislative Assembly is set to commence on March 10, featuring an opening address by Lt Governor K Kailashnathan. The session will include the presentation of the 2025-26 fiscal budget by Chief Minister N Rangasamy, who oversees the finance portfolio.

Assembly Speaker R. Selvam announced to the press on Tuesday that the session is scheduled to start at 9:30 AM. This assembly marks the sixth sitting of the legislative body's fifteenth term.

Chief Minister N Rangasamy, who holds the finance portfolio, is prepared to present the Union Territory's budget for the fiscal year 2025-26 on March 12. The House comprises thirty elected representatives and three nominated legislators.
