The budget session of the Puducherry Legislative Assembly is slated to begin on March 10. The session will open with a customary address by Lieutenant Governor K Kailashnathan, marking his first since taking office in August last year.
Assembly Speaker R. Selvam announced to the press on Tuesday that the session is scheduled to start at 9:30 AM. This assembly marks the sixth sitting of the legislative body's fifteenth term.
Chief Minister N Rangasamy, who holds the finance portfolio, is prepared to present the Union Territory's budget for the fiscal year 2025-26 on March 12. The House comprises thirty elected representatives and three nominated legislators.
