Karnataka's Deputy Chief Minister, D K Shivakumar, has unveiled innovative plans to modernize property management in Bengaluru using artificial intelligence. Speaking at a press conference, Shivakumar emphasized the use of AI in delivering property documents and identifying illegal constructions across the city.
Shivakumar highlighted that many property owners were not paying appropriate taxes due to unauthorized construction. He added that a significant number of properties have now come under the tax bracket, and a new law empowers BBMP to act against illegal properties. Private roads will soon be classified as public.
In a bid to streamline operations, digitization efforts will ensure records are up-to-date, and public awareness campaigns are set to roll out. The BBMP is also extending registration for pushcart vendors until April's end, with plans to offer specially designed carts to registered vendors.
