In a revealing operation, six illegal Bangladeshi migrants were nabbed in Delhi's Jahangirpuri area. Disguised as transgender women, the group used minor cosmetic procedures to alter their appearances, hoping to merge seamlessly into the local transgender community without drawing suspicion.
Authorities discovered that the individuals were using a prohibited mobile application to maintain communication with their families back home. During a concentrated 10-day surveillance effort targeting illegal migrants, police, alerted by a tip-off, successfully located the suspects near a metro station.
The apprehended individuals, hailing from various districts in Bangladesh, are now under the custody of the Foreigners Regional Registration Office, pending deportation. Police continue to investigate the circumstances of their illegal entry into India.
