In a recent address, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan detailed efforts to modernize India's military forces, highlighting the production of more joint doctrines and enlisting civilian expertise for training institutes.
Gen Chauhan emphasized the need for integration among the services, outlining nearly 200 activities for integration, with over 50 completed. He stressed a renewed focus on "war, warfare, and warfighting" to boost effectiveness.
The CDS also announced plans for digital reforms, akin to the government's Mission Karmayogi portal, and ongoing work on a sequel to his book outlining a transformative blueprint for India's military.
