French President Emmanuel Macron's office announced the meeting following prior discussions in Washington, highlighting ongoing efforts to determine Europe's military role in stabilizing Ukraine once a peace deal is reached. However, these plans have faced delays due to the necessity of U.S. security commitments.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy is expected to visit Paris, underscoring the international community's dedication to bolstering Ukraine's defense capabilities. The coalition, which includes EU nations as well as allies like Turkey, Canada, and Australia, continues to work towards defining military and logistical support strategies.
