Fabricated Theft: Man's Mobile Snatching Story Unravels

Ashok Kaushik, in an intoxicated state, fabricated a story of his phone being stolen in Delhi to avoid his wife's anger for losing it. Surveillance and investigation revealed no theft occurred, and he admitted to the false claim before a magistrate.

A man in Outer Delhi concocted a tale about his mobile phone being snatched to dodge his wife's wrath, as revealed by police investigations. When Ashok Kaushik reported the incident, saying a biker had taken his phone, he was allegedly under the influence of alcohol, police noted.

Despite filing an FIR, CCTV footage showed no evidence of a theft. Interviews led investigators to Sabar Singh, who confirmed that Kaushik, inebriated, sought to borrow a phone. When footage confronted him, Kaushik confessed to inventing the story after losing his phone.

His confession before a magistrate confirmed no robbery took place, highlighting the lengths to which individuals may go to avoid personal accountability.
