Ukrainian Delegation Heads to Washington for Critical Talks

A high-level Ukrainian delegation, headed by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, is embarking on a crucial diplomatic mission to Washington. The focus of these discussions is to fortify Kyiv's defense infrastructure and enhance energy resilience as Ukraine faces intensified Russian military strikes.

President Volodymyr Zelenskiy's chief of staff, Andriy Yermak, announced the talks on X, emphasizing the importance of discussing stronger sanctions against Russia. These measures are deemed vital to forcing Moscow into peace negotiations, aligning with Ukraine's pursuit of a just and lasting peace.

The delegation will also include Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council, who will contribute to the dialogue aimed at strengthening Ukrainian security and garnering additional U.S. support amidst ongoing conflict.
