In a solemn ceremony, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis honored the valiant sacrifices of police officers at the martyrs' memorial on Police Commemoration Day. The tribute was paid at the police headquarters in Naigaon, Mumbai, celebrating the courage of officers who died in the line of duty.

The Chief Minister's tribute acknowledges the bravery of 10 policemen who lost their lives in an ambush by armed Chinese troops on October 21, 1959, at Hot Springs, Ladakh. October 21 has since been commemorated annually to remember their sacrifice.

In his message shared on social media platform X, Fadnavis emphasized the inspiration drawn from these officers, urging the public to uphold courage and integrity as embodied by the fallen heroes.
