The Uttar Pradesh government has successfully trained over 3,900 officers and employees of the social welfare department through Mission Karmayogi to bolster their digital proficiency, officials reported on Friday.
This initiative is a part of efforts to make governance more efficient, transparent, and accountable, according to an official release. The digital training, conducted via the iGOT Karmayogi platform, is designed to enhance administrative efficiency, ensuring citizens access faster and more effective services.
By September, departmental data shows significant progress, with approximately 3,900 officers and employees registered on the portal. They have collectively completed 21,150 online courses totaling 15,893 hours of digital training. Remarkably, 2,759 employees have completed at least one course, while an official noted that the training also tackles stress reduction through workplace yoga and strengthens women's safety under the POSH Act.
