Investigations into the alleged acid attack on a Delhi University student have unearthed significant inconsistencies. The incident, reportedly involving Jitender and two accomplices, occurred near Laxmi Bai College on Sunday morning, police said.
However, authorities highlighted that Jitender's location during the attack was traced to Karol Bagh, far from the crime scene. Both call detail records and CCTV footage indicate that Jitender and his wife were in Karol Bagh at the time, points further corroborated by the absence of CCTV evidence showing three men on a motorcycle at the alleged location.
In an unexpected twist, Jitender's spouse has filed a case of sexual assault against the victim's father, alleging that he took inappropriate photographs of her. Simultaneously, police are exploring the possibility of a revenge motive linked to an ongoing property dispute between the families involved.
