Union Minister George Kurian stated that central agencies could intervene in the Sabarimala gold theft case if a black money connection is detected, emphasizing that Lord Ayyappa would not spare the culprits.
Kurian, who holds the portfolio of State Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying alongside Minority Affairs, reiterated that the potential intervention would be lawful, following the recent FIR filed over the financial irregularities.
The minister accused CPI(M) leaders of misappropriating gold to abolish poverty within the party and dismissed concerns, expressing faith in divine justice. Recent arrests include CPI(M)'s A Padmakumar, linked to the mismanagement of gold-plated artefacts at the Sabarimala shrine.
