In a significant move towards resolving the ongoing conflict, Ukraine's peace negotiators have arrived in the United States to engage in talks aimed at ending the four-year-long war with Russia. Kyrylo Budanov, leader of the Ukrainian delegation, announced the development as discussions are set to be held with key U.S. officials, including White House envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

Despite sustained diplomatic efforts, a concrete peace deal remains out of reach. The focus of these discussions includes crucial issues such as territorial concessions and security guarantees, alongside the contentious status of the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.

The negotiations also aim to secure a post-war recovery package for Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelenskiy is optimistic about signing a significant prosperity package during the upcoming World Economic Forum in Davos, potentially unlocking $800 billion in reconstruction investments.
