Officials revealed that random vehicle checks are being conducted at major junctions throughout Srinagar and other valley areas to monitor suspicious activities, alongside search operations near Republic Day celebration venues.

Extensive security measures are in place, particularly around Bakshi stadium, the main venue for the Republic Day function in Kashmir. Police and paramilitary deployment, checkpoint establishments, and multi-layer security setups are being implemented to ensure public safety. Security agencies have been instructed to remain vigilant, employing sniffer dogs and metal detectors to preempt any terrorist threats.
