The Jharkhand CID has made a significant breakthrough by arresting a man allegedly entangled in an international cyber slavery network. This operation trafficked job seekers from the state to Bangkok, coercing them into organized fraudulent activities, authorities disclosed on Wednesday.
In a sweeping effort, the accused, apprehended in Jamshedpur's Azad Nagar area, recruited unsuspecting youths on the pretense of lucrative overseas jobs. These recruits were then embroiled in cyber fraud operations abroad, as revealed in an official CID statement.
As investigations unfold, the CID aims to uncover more victims, map financial transactions, and identify co-conspirators within this sprawling interstate and international syndicate. The network, targeting job seekers, facilitated their travel with fake promises and made them participate in rigorous and deceptive online schemes.
