The Election Commission is set to enhance security protocols at counting centers by implementing a new QR code-based photo ID system.
This initiative is scheduled to be operational from May 4 when votes are tallied for elections in Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, and Puducherry.
The system involves a three-tier security process, ensuring only authorized individuals enter, notably utilizing QR scans as a final check.
