The Punjab unit of the BJP accused the Punjab Pollution Control Board of conducting a politically motivated raid on the Trident Group's factory, owned by MP Rajinder Gupta.
Gupta recently joined BJP after defecting from AAP, a move alleged to have triggered the state government's response. Punjab BJP's Ashwani Sharma claimed the raid was directed by AAP leaders Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann to 'settle political scores.'
Sharma further criticized the actions as harmful to industrial growth and transparency, condemning the state government's alleged misuse of power. The BJP vowed to combat such actions it views as politically motivated.
