A suicide bomber struck a crowded market in northwest Pakistan on Tuesday, resulting in the deaths of at least nine individuals, including two security officials, and injuring 33 others, according to police reports. The attack took place in Serai Naurang tehsil, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Lakki Marwat district.

The explosive device, concealed within an autorickshaw, was detonated at the bustling Phattak Chowk in Naurang Bazar. Deputy Commissioner Hameedullah Khan confirmed the fatalities and injuries, while rescue operations swiftly moved the wounded to local hospitals, with some critically injured being transferred to Bannu and Peshawar for advanced treatment.

Provincial and national leaders, including Chief Minister Muhammad Suhail Afridi and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, have condemned the attack. Both emphasized the resolve to combat terrorism and support affected families, while directing authorities to conduct thorough investigations to hold those responsible accountable.
