Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has stated that nuclear talks with the United States are delayed until the implementation of an interim deal, as reported by state television on Friday.

Araqchi emphasized that key components of the interim agreement include the reopening of the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz, along with a de-escalation of various regional conflicts.

The Iranian diplomat also stressed that sovereignty over the strait is shared with Oman, and that Iran will ensure safe passage for international shipping. Notably, the memorandum of understanding remains unsigned and subject to alteration.
