German defence minister rules out sending troops to Ukraine

German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius on Tuesday ruled out sending German troops to Ukraine after French President Emmanuel Macron opened the door to European nations doing so.
"Boots on the ground is not an option for the Federal Republic of Germany," he told a news conference with his Austrian counterpart Klaudia Tanner.
