Senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor dismissed exit polls predicting a third term for the BJP, claiming they do not accurately reflect the public's pulse. Speaking on Monday, Tharoor predicted that the opposition INDIA bloc would secure 295 seats in the Lok Sabha elections.
Tharoor highlighted Congress's skepticism towards the exit polls, noting that counting votes for the 543 Lok Sabha seats would occur on Tuesday. Various post-poll surveys had indicated a strong majority for the BJP.
Quoting Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Tharoor reiterated the INDIA bloc's confident stance and expressed his own assuredness about securing another term in Thiruvananthapuram.
