NDA Allies Hold The Key As BJP Falls Short

As the BJP appears to fall short of a majority, AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj highlighted the crucial role of NDA allies TDP and JD(U), led by N. Chandrababu Naidu and Nitish Kumar. Early trends suggest the BJP-led NDA is losing in key states but expected to form the government with about 290 seats.

As the BJP seems to be falling short of a majority, Aam Aadmi Party leader Saurabh Bharadwaj on Tuesday emphasized the significant role of NDA allies, specifically N. Chandrababu Naidu's Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)). Both leaders have previously united the opposition against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with Naidu leading efforts in 2019 and Kumar in 2024.

According to the initial trends from the Election Commission of India, TDP is leading in 16 seats in Andhra Pradesh, while JD(U) is leading in 14 seats. Bharadwaj took to social media platform X to express his confidence in these leaders preventing the BJP from forming the government.

Despite early disappointing results for the BJP-led NDA in strongholds such as Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Rajasthan, it is projected to form the government with about 290 seats. However, the BJP on its own is below the majority mark with leads in 240 seats, offset by gains in Odisha, Telangana, and Kerala.
