AAP on Tuesday proclaimed that despite challenging conditions, their candidates delivered a formidable opposition to BJP in Delhi. They emphasized that the electorate has voted against BJP's politics of hatred and dictatorship.

Early trends of the Lok Sabha poll results revealed underwhelming outcomes for the BJP-led NDA, which is losing ground in its bastions of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Rajasthan. However, expectations still point to the NDA forming the government with around 290 seats.

The BJP, however, is leading in all seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi, with three candidates maintaining leads of over a lakh votes.

In a press conference, AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh stated, 'I want to bow down before the country's voters. The election results are becoming clear. The public is tired of BJP's 10-year rule and wants change, signaling their displeasure with rising inflation and longing for a democratic beauty where BJP is told to step back.'

Given the BJP's struggle to surpass the majority mark of 272, Singh added that these results serve as a significant lesson against BJP's politics of hatred and dictatorship. He suggested that the Prime Minister should resign due to failing to meet the 400 mark ambition.

Addressing their own performance, AAP Delhi state convener Gopal Rai mentioned, 'We contested under adverse circumstances. The number of MPs in Punjab will rise, and in Delhi, we fought hard against the BJP with narrower margins compared to 2019.' AAP leads in two seats in Punjab, with candidate Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer securing a win.

Rai highlighted the potential critical influence of BJP's partners, N Chandrababu Naidu and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, both of whom have opposed PM Modi. He asserted that the country expects them to make timely and decisive choices to end the dictatorship.

Soon, the INDIA bloc will convene to determine its future strategy.
